Our production is looking for a full-time Senior VFX Artist to join our talented team. As part of a small team, your work will directly contribute to the success of Dead By Daylight.
Can you create beautiful and performant visual effects for games? Do you have a technical mind and artistic views? Are you experienced in real-time graphics, lighting and shaders? Have you worked in Unreal Engine before?
As a Senior VFX Artist, you will create visual effects for the characters, dynamic atmosphere and ominous elements in the procedurally generated world. You will work with an experienced team with a lot of drive and energy. The ideal candidate is autonomous and resourceful, comes up with solutions with a keen eye for detail, and easily adapts to different styles and workflow.
In this role you will:
- Profile the entire particle and shader system and optimize them to maximize performance across different platforms.
- Create and manage all post-process materials.
- Bring the design and artistic direction visions to life to enhance the gameplay experience.
- Assist and collaborate with various departments to create and implement effects.
- Act as a bridge between design, art, and tech to find the best ways to add visual enhancements to gameplay mechanics.
What we're looking for:
- 5 years of experience as a VFX artist in the video game industry.
- 5 years of experience with Unreal Engine and related 3D software.
- In-depth knowledge of particle systems.
- Strong understanding and use of shaders.
- Solid foundation in modeling, texturing, UV mapping, and lighting.
- Passion for VFX and animation in the video game field.
- Good communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to work within a team.
- Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of various game engines is a plus.
- Knowledge of Houdini is a plus
