Purpose and activities

We are looking for people with IT skills who can manage complexity with confidence and a challenging mindset towards problems, fostering synergy and inclusion.

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and develop application software and data components to support software systems, maximizing quality and performance in accordance with defined technical and functional specifications.

You will work within the Information Systems Directorate of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group in the Channels area and will develop innovative solutions, collaborating with colleagues who manage the design and functional aspects of the Channels service application domain, supporting them in choosing the best technological options and architectural solutions to make the application areas efficient and stable.

Required experience

At least >5 years of experience in medium/high complexity IT projects, preferably in banking, financial or credit sector.

Required skills, knowledge and qualifications

  • Degree or specialist diploma in computer-science or scientific fields: mathematics, physics, computer engineering
  • English level at least "intermediate"
  • Excellent knowledge of Office 365 tools
  • Required knowledge of:
    • Java with experience in the Spring framework
    • Spring Boot
    • Excellent knowledge of main SQL DBs such as Oracle, PostgreSQL and NoSQL (MongoDB)
    • Knowledge of microservices architectures
  • Knowledge of main operating systems
  • Development experience on JBOSS Application Server
  • Good knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Knowledge of data transformation (ETL) and data communication technologies
  • Knowledge of REST API design
  • Knowledge of versioning systems such as git or similar
  • Familiarity with major cloud development platforms such as GCP, AWS (preferred)
  • Sensitivity to performance and code optimization
  • Experience with Event Driven Architectures
  • Experience with Stream Processing architectures

Nice to have

  • Basic knowledge of Elastic / Splunk / Dynatrace
  • Knowledge of SonarQube
  • Experience developing native and/or hybrid mobile apps
  • Knowledge of Flutter and low-code platforms
  • Knowledge of Python and Go
  • Knowledge of NiFi
  • Knowledge of Flink
  • Knowledge of CI/CD DevOps processes and tools
  • Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodology
  • Knowledge of microservices platforms such as OpenShift, Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of asynchronous communication protocols such as MQ queues and Kafka
