The Role:

eFileCabinet is looking for an experienced designer to contribute to the overall product, design, and UX strategy for our next generation of products, working with our Design and Product teams and reporting to the Chief Product Officer. We're looking for someone to lead design on individual product features, deepen understanding of the customer and business problems, drive design decisions, and partner with Product and Development on execution.

This role has plenty of room to grow and will also help drive and strengthen our overall design and customer research approach. The ideal candidate is a passionate designer who is comfortable working closely with cross-functional teams to influence product strategy and rally the team around elegant, innovative solutions that delight our customers. You have a full seat at the table and co-own the product experience with Product and Development, advocating for the customer and driving design excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • To design flows and user experiences that are intuitive, delightful, and truly solve customer problems
  • Drive design excellence, with an eye for detail and a high bar for clean, consistent, and intuitive design. This includes your own designs, but also design reviews, feedback, and mentoring.
  • Contribute to product strategy and overall product design to continually push the level of quality, simplicity, and customer focus
  • Collaborate with the full Product Development team to deliver a world class experience to our users
  • Help create and update an overall design system to be used across multiple products and platforms to drive excellence and efficiency of design, as well as a consistent user experience
  • Drive user testing to validate your designs and help drive and institute deeper and more programmatic customer research across the organization

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of demonstrated experience with end-to-end product design of digital-first products and user experiences
  • Experience in effectively building and shipping software applications (mobile and/or web)
  • Thorough knowledge of design tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, Balsamiq, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
  • Must have a portfolio featuring examples of design work
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate your design decisions to cross-functional partners
  • The ability to think at a high level about product strategy and vision, not just 'how it should look and work’ but 'what we should build'
  • Experience conducting various forms of user research to inform product and design decision making, across the product lifecycle
  • Some experience with front-end programming and knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript capabilities with the ability to work closely with engineers to implement designs
  • Bonus: You understand what a design sprint is and how to effectively run one
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Utah
