Smalls is looking for a Senior Lifecycle Associate who’s passionate about shaping the customer journey from first touch through long-term retention. In this role, you’ll own the strategy and execution of campaigns that engage customers across email, SMS, and beyond ensuring every message is timely, relevant, and impactful. You’ll collaborate across teams, dig deep into customer data, and design experiments that push our growth strategy forward.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive lifecycle strategy -- implementing high-impact initiatives across the customer lifecycle that focus on conversion, engagement, retention and revenue generation.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the customer decision-making journey through qualitative and quantitative insights and launch relevant experiments
  • Oversee the creation, execution, and optimization of multi-channel campaigns (email, SMS, offline), including supporting new product launches, partnering with internal teams to enhance communications and improve the customer experience ensuring holistic strategies and consistent messaging across the customer lifecycle and external vendors to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Implement personalization and segmentation strategies leveraging customer behavior, demographics, and predictive analytics.
  • Manage a structured testing roadmap for acquisition and retention strategies, defining hypotheses, success metrics, and learnings to inform future efforts.
  • Analyze performance, track key metrics, and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Partner with Analytics to build dashboards and regularly share performance reporting and insights with the broader marketing team to strengthen growth strategies across the organization.

What we'll love about you:

  • 3–5 years in Lifecycle/CRM marketing with demonstrated ownership of end-to-end customer communications beyond email and SMS channels. Experience in DTC or subscription businesses a plus.
  • Expertise in email and SMS automation platforms (e.g., Iterable, Braze, Klaviyo) with working knowledge of HTML and Java-based template languages (e.g., Jinja, Handlebars).
  • Strong analytical skills with a history of leveraging data to drive strategy and results. (Looker experience a plus)
  • Skilled at structured testing, interpreting data, and applying learnings to strategy.
  • Excellent project management skills; able to balance multiple initiatives and timelines.
  • Startup-minded: scrappy, proactive, and comfortable working without a playbook.
  • Strong communicator and collaborator across creative, analytics, and technical teams.
  • You’re a cat person 🐾—ideally with firsthand cat knowledge or at least a love for cat culture.
