We’re looking for a Senior Level Designer to play a key role in bringing a highly acclaimed and industry-recognized AAA franchise’s next title to life. In this role you will be part of a team which puts level design at the heart of the player experience, working tightly with peers to develop the design and implement the intended vision, giving you the freedom to make creative decisions and bring innovative solutions to the game. In this role you will:

  • Actively contribute to design discussions and engage in bringing environmental storytelling, gameplay and player experiences to a high-quality bar.
  • Be involved in all stages of level design and design production including but not limited to prototyping, blocking, scripting, polish and debugging.
  • Debug and optimize at both low and high levels for peak performance and flow.
  • Evaluate and communicate the impact of changes to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Actively participate in reviews, sharing feedback to elevate overall design quality.
  • Test and refine as well as contribute to discussions to enhance gameplay and the player experience.

What are we looking for:

  • 5+ years of professional level design experience, with proven skills in AAA projects.
  • Solid understanding of various game engine environment editors and scripting tools.
  • Strong understanding of Level Design principles: encounters, flow, rhythm, scale, tension, pacing, variety, navigation, blocking.
  • A proactive problem-solver who thrives on solving complex technical and gameplay challenges through level and environment design.
  • Ability to clearly articulate the complexities of hands-on gameplay experience to effectively communicate intentions and share feedback to craft memorable moments for players.

Bonus Skills:

  • An understanding of narrative design principles.
