Job Type: Permanent

Location: This role could be based in Edinburgh, Wythall, London or Telford office on a hybrid basis with time spent working in the office and at home.

Salary and benefits: £74,900 to £100,000 plus 30% bonus up to 60%, 38 days annual leave, private medical cover, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, income protection, 3x volunteering days and much more .

We have an incredible opportunity to join us here at Phoenix Group as a Senior Internal Model Risk Manager  to join ourInternal Model Oversight team.

The role

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Internal Model Risk Manager to join our Internal Model Oversight team to support the Phoenix Group’s ambitious change programme. The role involves performing independent validations  of the Group’s Internal Model and coordinating the end-to-end  Line 2 oversight of major model changes.

You will work closely with other members  of the  Financial Risk team, Line 1 regulatory capital teams, and the wider business to enhance the Group’s Internal Model. You will play a leading role in complex, high profile projects involving the development of capital modelling methodology, performing independent validations and reporting on the outcome to senior management and Board committees.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a qualified Actuary with experience in developing or validating Internal Models .

You will have strong knowledge of Solvency II  Internal Model  and governance requirements, including aggregation, proxy models and their practical application. Given the pace of change in our business, experience of working in actuarial change delivery and model change applications is desirable.

You are pragmatic and proactive, with the ability to build strong relationships and drive action and collaboration across boundaries. You are able to communicate effectively with a variety of  colleagues and senior stakeholders across the business.
