  • $101,881pa + super (up to 12%) + leave loading Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 6 of EBA5
  • 9 day fortnight
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
  • Location: Caboolture

About our opportunity

As a Senior Engineer you will provide specialist advice to Council or its delegate on moderately complex development matters relating to transport and stormwater infrastructure as well as flood and storm tide inundation hazard. You will lead the assessment of moderately complex development applications in line with legislative, policy and business requirements.

In this role you will provide technical oversight and guidance to Engineers in the review and assessment of development applications to ensure assessment outcomes and deliverables are met. You will build strong relationships across a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality services outcomes are achieved.

About you

We are seeking an Engineer who has comprehensive knowledge and experience in the delivery of engineering assessment and compliance services. You will have the ability to influence and negotiate moderately complex infrastructure and other commercial agreements, whilst providing technical oversight and direction to other Engineers. Excellent communication skills to meet the needs of a range of internal and external stakeholders with the ability to work in a positive team environment communicating and engaging effectively at all levels.

Additionally, you will have

  • degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent and a General Induction licence (White Card).
  • comprehensive knowledge in the principles and practices relating to the planning, design and construction of transport and stormwater infrastructure
  • understanding of State Planning Policy, the SEQ Regional Plan, the Planning scheme, and the Adopted Infrastructure Charge Resolution
