The Economic Game Designer is responsible for designing, implementing, and balancing the game’s economy to support a compelling and sustainable player experience. This includes progression systems, rewards, and currency sinks that feel meaningful and fair over time.

Working closely with production and cross‑disciplinary teams, the Economic Game Designer helps shape monetization and engagement strategies and ensures they are thoughtfully integrated into the game. This role stays attuned to player behavior, live game performance, and industry trends to continuously refine systems and maintain a healthy, engaging economy.

In this role you will :

  • Define the monetization strategy with the development team and design an economic model that brings value to the players.
  • Balance virtual products, player progression, currencies, sinks and sources.
  • Analyze metrics and suggest improvements to the development and live team.
  • Suggest improvements to the gameplay loops.
  • Create design documents related to the economy that targets to improve acquisition, retention, and monetization.

What we're looking for :

  • Experience contributing to at least one successful live game.
  • Strong ability to balance complex game economic systems and familiar with Agile production.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel simulations and predictive calculations (analytical competencies and data modeling).
  • Continuous analysis of current strategies and ability to propose new ways to optimize/maximize game revenue.
  • Experience in supporting soft launches and live operations, with an understanding of monetization, retention, and virality drivers.
