As a Sr. Compensation Analyst at Bolt you will partner with our Head of Compensation to design, build, and implement our global compensation function. You will provide compensation guidance to our People Ops and Talent Acquisition teams - your expertise will be critical in coming up with creative and simple solutions to complex compensation issues. We are looking for a compensation professional who has a passion for execution and day-to-day compensation operations, and is also excited to participate in strategic initiates.

What you will be doing:

  • Support Bolt’s global compensation function by executing short and medium-term compensation projects to attract, motivate, and retain top talent
  • Develop equity and incentive compensation programs, salary budgets and structures, and implement policies and procedures to ensure the achievement of equitable and competitive employee compensation
  • Provide compensation guidance to HRBP and Talent Acquisition team, including, but not limited to, offers, retention packages, transfers, and complex compensation issues
  • Review and improve Bolt’s global leveling structure, drafting clear guidelines for job evaluation
  • Support the design and execution of our compensation planning cycles
  • Partner with People Ops, Finance, and Legal to ensure compensation programs and procedures are in harmony with the broader business.
  • Build and socialize compensation-related training and change management materials ensuring materials are easy to understand for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Conduct research and provide actionable recommendations based on your insights

What would set you up for success:

  • Proficiency in spreadsheet modeling (Google Sheets and Excel)
  • Proficiency in job evaluation and pricing
  • Proficiency in Radford surveys (i.e., submissions and data querying)
  • Experience building and evolving job architectures and compensation structures
  • Experience in equity compensation (RSUs and Stock Options)
  • Experience working with HRBP and TA/Recruiting teams providing compensation guidance
  • Working knowledge in compensation planning cycles (i.e., building planning sheets and/or implementing compensation planning tools)
  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems (ADP, Workday, Bamboo, etc)
  • 3+ years of compensation experience

  • Strong conviction to document methodologies and processes for future reference
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Experience with other surveys (in addition to Radford): OptionImpact, VCECS, Mercer, McLagan, TowerWatson
  • Experience with international compensation (i.e., outside of North America)
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high/hyper-growth technology companies
  • Enjoys team collaboration and comp brainstorming sessions
  • Experience with data visualization tools
