Senior Claims Adjuster / Schadensachbearbeiter (m/f/d) at the Düsseldorf location

As a Senior Claims Adjuster / Schadensachbearbeiter (m/f/d) you will be part of a highly motivated team of professionals. Together we develop tailor-made solutions for our clients. In doing so you will make a significant contribution to achieving our company goals and give our clients the confidence of being backed by a strong partner.

Your responsibilities:

  • Independent handling of national and international (major) claims in the Property (non-life) line
  • Determination of all claim-relevant facts such as cause of loss, plausibility, scope and amount
  • Examination of coverage issues and possibilities of recourse to safeguard the company’s interests
  • Assessment of disputed claims and consideration of the possibility of economic settlements
  • Communication and negotiation with brokers, experts and lawyers to find case-specific solutions
  • Communication with internal interfaces

Your profile:

  • You are a trained insurance clerk (Kaufmann/frau für Versicherung und Finanzen) or have a comparable qualification (e.g. lawyer)
  • You have at least two to three years of relevant professional experience in claims handling (preferably at an insurer)
  • Experience in a comparable role is an advantage
  • You are enthusiastic about structured and problem-solving claims handling and bring strong skills in property insurance
  • You work independently and in a team and are willing to take responsibility
  • You are not afraid to voice your opinion but have the openness to be convinced by better arguments
  • You proactively engage with people, are communicative and empathetic
  • You are resilient and reliable
  • Confident use of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Business-fluent English, both spoken and written
  • Solid understanding of the regulatory framework of the insurance industry
