About this role
We currently have a 12-month contract available for a Senior Business Analyst. This role sits within our Digital team and is based in our Sydney office. The role will work with project managers and business stakeholders across the project delivery lifecycle on creating project visions that align with our strategic goals, and defining requirements, through to working with implementation partners to design, test and deliver technology solutions. This role will form part of a project team delivering a large-scale transformation program of work focused on optimising and automating processes across our firm.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand and identify business problems and opportunities for improvements in efficiency, client and people experience
- Work closely with the Digital team and key stakeholders to identify potential technology solution options, associated cost/benefits and business impacts
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, surveys, and other methods to elicit and document business requirements, processes, and rules.
- Lead and drive the analysis of business processes and systems capabilities, challenging the status quo, and innovating technology solutions to identify improvement, automation, and efficiency opportunities across the firm
- Translate requirements into functional and non-functional specifications, user cases, user stories and acceptance criteria
- Confidently and clearly articulate business problems and solutions to executive stakeholders and facilitate strategic level discussion and decision making, whilst ensuring alignment to the scope and quality of the solution
- Proactively ensure the quality of work being delivered by the build team is upheld - lead and participate in user acceptance testing, training and communications design and delivery, as well as sharing the responsibility of providing production support.
- Collaborate with the project manager to plan, monitor, and report on the business analysis activities and deliverables.
- Provide guidance and support to the junior business analysts and mentor them on the business analysis methodologies and tools.
- Work with the Digital and other Support Services teams to continually improve delivery processes, tools, and templates.
Skills & experience
- 3 or more years overall experience in Business Analysis roles involving technology within Professional Services
- Hold relevant tertiary qualification, such as Business Information Systems, Computer Science, IT, etc
- Proven ability to conduct in-depth analysis of business needs
- Demonstrated deep expertise with business and data analysis methodologies, techniques, tools and template, including process re-engineering and optimisation via automation
- Proven ability to identify, prioritize, and implement automation opportunities by reviewing business processes and conducting benefits analysis
- To be considered you will have both Lean Six Sigma and be a Scrum Product Owner certified
- Deep expertise in billing and payroll projects
- Demonstrated deep expertise and understanding of Agile and Waterfall project methodologies
