Position Description:

The Security Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the security of the R6M ecosystem for players. They analyze threats to the game ecosystem and develop a local protection and enforcement strategy to reduce attacks, counter cheating, and promote player safety.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive local security program to identify and remediate risks around the game (cheating, hacking, infrastructure attacks), in alignment with Ubisoft’s security strategy.
  • Define the anti-cheat strategy and coordinate the integration of anti-cheat solutions into the game.
  • Establish operational programs to manage sanctions and conduct user investigations related to player security.
  • Set objectives and collaboration plans with partner service teams (SRM, online platforms, IT, anti-cheat vendors, etc.) to strengthen game protection.
  • Implement escalation procedures and rapid response plans for critical situations affecting game users.
  • Define and monitor key security performance indicators to measure game health post-launch.
  • Conduct regular technological watch on security and gaming threats.
  • Leverage expertise to promote security awareness and training among production team members.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • University degree in computer science or a related field.

Relevant Experience:

  • Experience in team coordination and/or management.
  • Experience in video game production or development, especially online and/or mobile games.
  • At least 3 years of experience in information security or other relevant experience.

Skills:

  • Ability to interact with stakeholders from various backgrounds and simplify technical or business concepts for different audiences (executives, technical teams, business teams).
  • Autonomy, proactivity, and results orientation.
  • Capacity to make quick decisions in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to build consensus and develop a network of contacts.
  • Demonstrated leadership.

Knowledge:

  • General IT knowledge.
  • General information security knowledge (processes, best practices, and technologies).
  • Knowledge of reverse engineering and anti-cheat solutions.
  • Knowledge of security governance frameworks and best practices.
