Objective of the role

As a key player in the SME sales strategy for the BNL & UK regions, you are responsible for managing and developing your own sales and revenue pipeline, focusing on acquiring revenue-generating clients for the network.

You strengthen your sales results by identifying opportunities, building relationships, and closing deals within these markets.

Reporting to the SME Sales Team Leader, you are expected to achieve sales targets and contribute to team objectives with your results-driven approach.

Main tasks

  • Execute strategic plans to meet sales targets and expand the customer base in the BNL & UK regions.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting and approaching potential customers, qualifying leads, responding to RFIs and RFPs, presenting proposals, negotiating terms, and closing deals, in accordance with company guidelines and legal requirements.
  • Accurately manage and keep your sales pipeline up to date in Salesforce so that opportunities and contracts nearing completion are consistently displayed and followed up.
  • Work closely with teams such as Finance, Integrations, and Client Services to ensure smooth handover of new clients, from contract signing to full integration and go-live.
  • Conduct in-depth research on target brands, including their current affiliate activities, key contacts, and market positioning.
  • Consistently meet KPIs and sales targets through proactive approach, strategic planning, and effective execution of sales activities.
  • Participate in industry events to discover new opportunities and strengthen existing relationships.
  • Actively and consistently carry out outbound activities in the BNL region to find new opportunities and build the pipeline.

Skills & Expertise

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial roles, focusing on new business development within affiliate marketing, digital marketing, B2B marketplaces, or related sectors.
  • Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets, with a strong ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com and sales pipeline management software.
  • Excellent digital skills, including advanced knowledge of the MS Office suite.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to effectively engage with customers and stakeholders at different levels.
  • Business proficiency in Dutch and English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Independent and commercially strong, with the ability to drive projects autonomously in a dynamic, international environment.
