XWiki is looking for a creative QA Engineer that will passionately contribute to the improvement of our product and our client projects.
🎯 Your mission
Help release quality products and ensure the users and clients have a smooth, error-free experience. In this role, you will:
- Conduct hands-on testing of our products (XWiki, Cristal, extensions) on different environments
- Identify bugs and issues and report them in the bug-tracking tool
- Work with our manager/mentor to classify those issues and assess their severity
- Work with our account managers on reproducing bugs reported by our customers
- Work with our developers to test new and existing features when they get rolled out
- Thoroughly test the recommended versions of our products on supported environments
- Create product reports
- Contribute to the product documentation
🥇 You’re the right candidate if you
- Are passionate about open-source software and how it can make the world a better place
- Are familiar with the software development life-cycle
- Have basic knowledge of Git and experience with issue trackers (JIRA, GitHub Issues, OpenProject etc.)
- Have experience in manual testing; Automated testing is a plus
- Have working knowledge of Windows or Linux and Edge/ Firefox / Chrome
- Have working knowledge of databases (MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle ,etc)
- Ability to write short and detailed descriptions of how our features work
- Have an advanced level of written and spoken English
- Are a team player who enjoys working in an agile environment with a high level of autonomy
