We have an incredible opportunity to join us here at Phoenix Group as a Senior Product Review Actuary in our Product Review team within the Product Management area.

Who are we?

We want to be the best place that any of our 7,800 colleagues have ever worked.

We’re the UK’s largest long-term savings and retirement business. We offer a range of products across our market-leading brands, Standard Life, SunLife, Phoenix Life and ReAssure. Around 1 in 5 people in the UK has a pension with us. We’re a FTSE 100 organisation that is tackling key issues such as transitioning our portfolio to net zero by 2050, and we’re not done yet.

The role

You’ll support, and at times lead, activity in relation to the development, delivery, deployment or ongoing management of the Phoenix Group's Products & Propositions. You’ll ensure they continue to meet customer/employer/adviser needs, all regulatory requirements are met, risks are effectively managed, and propositions deliver the business commercial objectives.

You’ll act as an SME for the actuarial side of the team, making recommendations, working with other internal teams and outsourced service providers, and leading workstreams.

This is a rare opportunity to join a great team where every day is different.

What are we looking for?

You’ll be a team player with proven actuarial experience, although FIA or FFA are not essential, and have the ability to convey actuarial concepts to non-actuaries. You’ll also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as a good understanding of the Life and Pensions industry across the whole range of products, particularly in the context of pricing concepts, product-related calculations and underlying investment characteristics.

We want to hire the whole version of you.

We are committed to ensuring that everyone feels accepted and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If your experience looks different from what we’ve advertised and you believe that you can bring value to the role, we’d love to hear from you.

If you require any adjustments to the recruitment process, please let us know so we can help you to be at your best.
