  • $91,155pa + 12% super (level 4)
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
  • Location: Strathpine

Join City of Moreton Bay as a Procurement Officer and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

As a Procurement Officer you will support to develop and implement best practice procurement plans and provide specialist administrative support and advice to Council stakeholders to deliver effective, consistent and cost-efficient procurement of goods and services in accordance with corporate procurement policies, strategies and frameworks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide strategic procurement advice and support to council officers
  • Conduct Financial audits and assist with Purchasing support to council officers
  • Manage systems and data maintenance and financial assessment activities
  • Support training initiatives

About you

You will be an experienced Procurement Officer, detail orientated, be a natural communicator that can build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, awareness of probity when accessing confidential information, a positive attitude to quickly become a valuable member of our team.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Strong administration skills with ability to pick up systems and processes proficiently
  • Excellent time management skills to manage conflicting priorities and meeting deadline
  • Positive team member with a focus on customer service
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems (TechOne Finance preferred)
  • Knowledge of local government procurement legislation and procedures would be desirable.
