What you will do

You will lead the design and development of next-generation user interfaces that bring complex data, media, and intelligence to life. You’ll own critical pieces of the product experience — from real-time voice and video-enabled interfaces to immersive data visualization layers — working closely with design, product, and platform teams to deliver cutting-edge, high-performance UI systems. You will spearhead the UI engineering team, staying hands-on technically, helping shape its structure, processes, and technical direction as the organization grows.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and development of core UI systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability across web and mobile platforms.
  • Spearhead and mentor a growing UI team, setting high standards for design and code quality, and defining technical best practices.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment between engineering, design, and product stakeholders.
  • Design and implement voice- and video-driven interfaces leveraging browser and device APIs (e.g., MediaRecorder, Web Speech, WebRTC).
  • Push the limits of browser-based media handling for real-time streaming, recording, and playback experiences.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools and workflows (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or custom LLM integrations) to accelerate prototyping, improve code quality, and enhance developer productivity.
  • Stay ahead of the curve in AI-enhanced UI/UX design, integrating intelligent interactions and adaptive experiences into user interfaces.
  • Provide technical guidance and thoughtful feedback through code reviews and design critiques.
  • Foster a culture of design excellence, continuous learning, and engineering rigor.
  • Partner with backend, data, and design teams to define API contracts, ensure seamless integration, and uphold UI consistency across systems.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.

Who you are

We value team members who are innovative, driven, and enthusiastic. You’re a creative and strategic thinker with strong design intuition and a deep sensitivity to user experience. You lead and inspire cross-functional teams through collaboration, clear communication, and vision. You bring a growth mindset and a genuine enthusiasm for emerging technologies — especially the potential of AI-powered workflows to transform how people work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 14 years of frontend/UI development experience, with at least 2 years in a technical lead or architect-level capacity.
  • Proven track record spearheading or scaling a UI engineering team.
  • React.js, React Native, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Voice, video, and media APIs: MediaRecorder, Web Speech, WebRTC, or related browser APIs.
  • Building high-performance native web apps and cross-platform UIs.
  • Familiarity with real-time audio/video streaming and interactive media models.
  • Strong design intuition and UX sensitivity.
  • Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Growth mindset with enthusiasm for emerging technologies and AI-powered workflows.
  • Passion for developer experience, media UX, design systems, and UI architecture.
  • Experience with GraphQL, micro-frontend architecture, or monorepo setups is preferred.
  • Exposure to data visualization frameworks (D3.js, Deck.gl, etc.) is preferred.
  • Strong UX and visual design sensibility — ability to think deeply about user experience, color theory, and visual hierarchy is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Figma for visual design and collaboration, with a good eye for layout and typography is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and workflows is preferred.
