The job
As a Platform Engineer, you will join the Security Operations Center at Homerun. You will play a key role in ensuring our customers have a seamless experience with Homerun, taking care of all the invisible parts of the platform. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who’s passionate about automation, cloud technologies, and scaling systems. You’ll work closely with developers, different stakeholders and and security roles to ensure our platforms are reliable, scalable, and efficient.
Homerun is part of ISH software holding, this role offers the unique opportunity to work not just within Homerun, but also with other companies under the same ISH umbrella. You’ll be contributing to scalable, secure, and reliable systems that benefit a broader ecosystem, not just a single product.
You will assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support our product teams with faster and safer deployments.
Help us manage and improve infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible, we believe everything should be automated.
Keep an eye on our monitoring systems and services and proactively propose on new ways and alerts to stay vigilant.
Collaborate with senior engineers to implement best practices around infrastructure, security, and deployments, we handle personal information that must be kept safe.
Participate in incident response and root cause analysis to improve system resiliency.
Contribute to documentation and internal tooling to streamline developer experience.

You
You have 3-5 years of experience with cloud providers, ideally on AWS. You are also familiar with Linux-based systems and basic shell scripting (Bash or similar).
You have a sharp eye for security, monitoring, and cloud optimisation. You will be part of our first line of defence, you'll make sure our systems are safe, reliable and efficient.
You are comfortable with at least one scripting or programming language, like Python or JavaScript.
You have an understanding of version control, especially Git and platforms like GitHub or GitLab and some experience with CI/CD workflows.
You're a strong communicator and very precise ✍️ – you have excellent communication skills both written an verbal.
You’re fluent in English 🇬🇧 – We're an international team with international users so we generally speak and write in English.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities 💭 – You like to help others and you're good at thinking in solutions. You also don't shy away from a problem. You gladly tackle it with positivity and action.
You're positive and confident 😃 – you have a positive attitude, you like life the sunny side up, your glass is half full and you're not afraid to tell nay-sayers.
You're hands-on and driven to action 💪 – you don't mind getting your hands dirty even when it's new terrain for you.
