The details:

  • Permanent Full Time and Maximum Term Contract opportunities
  • $79,563pa up to $94,415pa + super (up to 12%) + leave loading Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 3 up to Level 5 of EBA5 The appointed wage level will be dependent upon the successful candidate's level of experience, skills and qualifications.
  • 9 day fortnight
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
  • Location: Caboolture

Development Services is shaping a better Moreton Bay by assessing and managing the effects of development on the community and environment of Moreton Bay. Working in partnership with the development industry to design and construct infrastructure for the community as well as levying and recovering infrastructure charges to fund new and upgraded major community infrastructure.

About the opportunity

As a member of the team, you will provide technical advice and undertake assessments of low complexity development matters relating to land use impacts of development to meet the needs of the community.

Through proactively engaging with key stakeholders, undertaking site inspections, and using your key research and analysis skills, you will prepare quality development application recommendations and assist in resolving land use issues and negotiating infrastructure agreements.

About you

We are opening this opportunity up to a wide range of experience levels and encourage anyone with a keen interest to join our team to apply - whether you are a recent graduate just starting out in your career or have significant experience in this field.

You will have good knowledge and experience in the delivery of planning assessment and compliance services having worked in a similar role and be familiar with principles and practices relating to urban design and placemaking.

You will be a natural communicator with the ability to influence key stakeholders to support the negotiation of infrastructure and other commercial agreements. With an awareness of the principles and practices relating to the protection of the environment and the planning, design and construction of development infrastructure and landscaping works, you will quickly become a valuable member of our team.
