We have an incredible opportunity to join us here at Phoenix Group as a Senior Performance Reporting Manager to join our Policyholder Performance Reporting team, within the Product Control and Reporting (PC&R) team in Asset Management.

Job Type:  FTC – 6 months

Location: This role will be based in either our London / Edinburgh offices, with some time working flexibly between the office and home. There will be some travel between our Phoenix offices. Key Responsibilities

This is a key role in the team, responsible monitoring the performance of policyholder funds including analysing drivers of under/overperformance, maintaining fund watchlists and tracking actions in place to improve underperformance, whilst leading and managing a small team.

Key elements of the role include;

Performance Reporting

  • Ensuring performance fees from external managers are appropriately validated prior to instructing payment.
  • Delivering Performance Reporting content within relevant Governance Committee reports on time and to a high standard, ensuring that they are providing the committees with what they require.
  • Ensuring the requirements of the Policyholder Investment Office and Pensions and Savings teams are met and prioritise work in an effective manner
  • Act as a point of contact within AM for all matters related to policyholder performance reporting

Team Management & Delivery

  • Ensuring the team source fund performance effectively including calculation of the performance of funds for specific funds over various time periods
  • Lead the team in programme/project work including ensure requirements are provided and changes implemented and tested appropriately

Continuous Improvement

  • Ensuring all processes have appropriate controls to mitigate risk and there is a culture of continuous improvement and automation where possible
  • Ensuring there is up to date documentation roles & responsibilities, processes, procedures and controls
  • Implement processes to ensure that required changes to data are understood and processed including benchmarks, fees, targets and any other changes which would impact fund performance calculation or reporting

Stakeholder Management

  • Ensuring key stakeholders are managed appropriately and required outputs are delivered on time to required quality.

What are we’re ideally looking for:

  • Experience in fund performance reporting, ideally in AM / Financial Services
  • Functional knowledge of end-to-end investment management technology / operating models, and downstream consumers / value chain
  • Experience with fund performance tools
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience
  • Proven capability in managing high performing teams and ensuring team deliver within demanding deadlines
  • Relevant professional qualification
