Performance Marketing Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Performance Marketing Manager to join our team at Chani Nicholas Incorporated.

The Job

We’re looking for a dynamic, data-centric Performance Marketing Manager with a deep understanding of App Store Optimization (ASO), eCommerce sales and conversion marketing, data-driven marketing strategies, and paid media management. You will develop and implement strategies driving successful customer acquisition and retention, driving mid and lower funnel activities for both the CHANI app and our online store.

What You’ll Do

  • Marketing campaign management: plan, execute, and optimize digital marketing campaigns across various channels including SEO/SEM, email, push notifications, social media, influencers, affiliates, and paid advertising;
  • App subscriber acquisition: implement strategies based on performance metrics to drive subscriber acquisition through marketing creative experimentation, free trial/offer/promo testing, paywall optimization, and landing page optimization;
  • eCommerce: develop streamlined eCommerce strategies and optimized customer journeys for a seamless customer experience on Shopify;
  • Measurement and reporting: Maintain regular marketing reporting dashboards; develop goals and KPIs for all customer acquisition and retention marketing initiatives while regularly monitoring performance to identify areas for optimization;
  • Innovation and collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams internally and externally, including product, content, brand marketing, analytics and engineering to align on overarching business goals; provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leaders around marketing innovation and revenue growth;
  • Retention & Engagement: Design and execute performance marketing strategies to improve LTV, ROAS, and user retention by leveraging behavioral data;
  • Paid Media Management: Own the strategy, execution, and optimization of paid advertising across Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, and other relevant channels; and
  • A/B Testing & Experimentation: Implement rigorous testing frameworks for ad creatives, messaging, and funnel optimizations.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of professional experience in digital marketing and analytics;
  • Proficient in data analysis and A/B testing methodologies to optimize performance;
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts;
  • Proactive and adaptable in an agile work environment;
  • Proficiency in marketing measurement, analytics, and automation platforms, (e.g., Amplitude, Mailchimp, AppsFlyer, SEMrush, etc);
  • Familiarity with Apple App Store and Google Play Store best practices;
  • Proficiency in paid media strategies and platforms such as Meta, Google, TikTok, etc;
  • Excellent with Excel and Google Sheets; and
  • Experience with eCommerce strategies on Shopify.

The Interview Process

  1. The team reviews your cover letter and resume.
  2. The Director of Marketing will reach out to conduct a 15-30 minute phone interview. You'll participate in a technical interview with our Director of Marketing. You’ll be asked a series of behavioral and technical questions.
  3. You’ll participate in a group interview with the VP of Growth, Director of  Production and the Director of Copy.
  4. You’ll participate in a group interview with the President, CEO, and Chief of Staff.
  5. The team reviews all feedback.
  6. We make a final decision and notify you.

Location

This position is fully remote, within the US, though you must be willing to travel NYC annually for in-person retreats and department meet-ups as needed.

Employment Type

Full-time position (32 hours per week).
