__Are you a currently enrolled Deakin University student looking to undertake a Work Integrated Learning Placement in Semester 2 2024?

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

Your internship placement in our People & Culture team will see you work closely with members of our Melbourne-based Early Careers and People & Culture Talent Acquisition Teams to support the organisation’s annual student recruitment campaign cycle.

Key responsibilities:

  • Answer general queries, via email and phone, regarding student recruitment process
  • Assist candidates navigate the application process via Page Up, including trouble shooting any system issues
  • Ensure candidate applications are progressed through various assessment stages in a timely fashion, in line with Grant Thornton selection criteria.
  • Review and assess candidate video interview assessments
  • Prepare status reports for local People and Culture teams
  • Assist in booking and coordinating assessment centres
  • Prepare Assessment Centre materials
  • Follow up respective interstate and local teams to finalise candidate outcomes
  • Attend attraction and marketing events (including careers fairs, employer presentations, etc.) to promote graduate and internship opportunities alongside representatives from Grant Thornton
  • Other ad hoc recruitment activities

To be eligible for this opportunity, you must be currently enrolled at Deakin University and be available to undertake a Work Integrated Learning Placement in Semester 2 2024 (commencing mid-late July).

A successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong customer/client service skills
  • Flexibility, adaptability and resilience
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team and independently when required

Applicants working towards a degree in Human Resources, Commerce, Marketing or Management will be considered highly.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have sufficient credit points remaining in your degree to able to undertake a Work Integrated Learning Placement.
