Flatiron School is seeking a Part-Time Associate Account Executive to join our admissions team. As a Part-Time Associate Account Executive, you’ll contact prospective students, understand their career and life goals, and help them navigate the courses and careers that Flatiron School has to offer. You’ll be the front line of the school, a true expert in Flatiron School's products and course offerings.

We craft our classes with care and look for students who share our values. We seek out highly-motivated and passionate students for each class from hundreds of prospective students in each market. You will be responsible for sourcing applicants, cultivating our values in prospective students, and moving students towards enrollment in our courses. Creativity and a desire to build will prove crucial in this role as we work to expand our course offerings to students across the country. At Flatiron School, you will have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the rapid growth of our organization by helping students change their lives through a career in Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Product Design, or Data Science.

Please note that this role requires individuals to work a minimum 15 hours per week during nights and weekends. Optional work days and hours: Saturdays, Sundays and/or weekday evenings from 5pm - 2am ET

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and communicate Flatiron School's products, programs, features, and benefits to prospective students.
  • Communicate energetically and warmly with a high volume of prospective students (100+ / day) over the phone, chat, video calls, email, social, and occasionally in person each day.
  • Respond to inbound student inquiries in real-time over web chat, email, social media, and phone.
  • Assess student goals and concerns and guide students from interest to application.
  • Innovate and iterate on processes through experimental sales processes, evaluation of current tactics, and implementation of creative prospecting strategies.
  • Work cross-functionally within our organization. Reporting to admissions leadership, partnering with our account executives, community teams, education delivery, career services, and marketing to provide a seamless student experience and build a pipeline.
  • Staff regular admissions-related events as needed. This may include information sessions and campus tours both in person and virtually.
  • Partner with Enterprise to support existing and upcoming deals.

Expected Compensation:

  • $22/hr-$25/hr

Qualifications:

  • A fast learner who can retain a lot of information. You are excited to become an expert on all things related to Flatiron School and to share it with others.
  • An expert communicator. You are patient, personable, and can communicate with various people from spinal surgeons to stay-at-home parents. You are comfortable addressing large groups of people.
  • Data-savvy; able to spot patterns in student data and make recommendations based on it.
  • Highly organized and can manage time effectively. You know how to create a schedule and how to adapt when things deviate from the schedule and manage high-volume activity.
  • Experience and adherence to best practices using CRMs and databases.
  • A quick thinker who can switch contexts easily.
  • Ability to meet metric expectations set by leadership.
  • Can work effectively and independently in a report environment.
