Role summary: The Infrastructure department of the global network team in Montreal is looking for a Network Security Administrator to install, maintain and improve network and security solutions and to troubleshoot complex issues raised by partners. The role includes hands-on administration, architecture support and mentoring newer administrators.

Responsibilities: Install, configure and maintain network and system equipment (switches, firewalls, load balancers, proxies, custom firewalls). Deploy and manage private network links and dedicated peering connections. Monitor, diagnose and optimize network infrastructure and services to ensure high availability. Proactively manage network security: threat detection, incident response and enforcement of security policies. Conduct capacity planning and security audits. Promote automation to improve operational efficiency, reliability and security consistency. Define and apply standards, guidelines, best practices and KPIs. Evaluate and support new technical needs and secure architecture choices. Keep up-to-date documentation of network hardware, software and security configurations. Mentor team members and contribute to secure network evolution planning.

Qualifications: Demonstrated expertise in advanced network and security administration (firewalls, load balancers, proxies, VLANs, ACLs, EtherChannel, L2/L3 protocols). Proven ability to design, implement and maintain large-scale secure infrastructures and proactively mitigate risks. Strong Linux skills and automation experience (Python, Ansible, CI/CD) with concrete operational achievements. Experience developing innovative solutions to high-impact technical problems. Skills in capacity planning, proactive monitoring and process improvement. Recognized leadership and mentoring abilities, able to communicate complex information to technical and non-technical audiences.
