About the Engineering Team

Our Engineering Team in Huizen is responsible for the development, delivery and support of a successful   product portfolio. This product portfolio consists of equipment (Audio communication, Switches, Computers, etc). From this equipment we make customer specific solutions that are installed in Military Vehicles. The solution supports the crew with all their communication and situational awareness needs. With a team of (80 fte)  System-,  Software-,  Hardware- and  Project Engineers, we deliver reliable solutions all over the world.

About your future job

Your responsibility is to lead the (growing) HW development team of 35 engineers. 20 electronic engineers who develop, test and release analogue and digital PCBA ‘s. 4 Mechanical engineers that design enclosures, cables and vehicle installations. 5 engineers that ensure compliancy to applicable legislation like Safety, Reach. 5 Industrial Engineers that ensure our products are designed for optimal assembly and support the factory to ensure continuity. The employees are assigned to 4 scrum teams with Product Owners for the coordination of these teams. The HW engineering team is responsible for the formal release of the HW, the Quality control and the maintenance of the product during the hole life cycle.

To do this you work on different abstraction levels. At the highest level you make sure that you develop the department in line with the strategic mission of Huizen. This could have consequences for the size and the capabilities of the team. It can also have consequences for the processes that are used. And finally, the use of Suppliers, Partners other Thales entities.

  • ensure that the right knowledge/skills of the team is available when needed.
  • estimate effort and lead execution within the confirmed cost, quality and delivery commitment.
  • continuously improve applicable processes
  • improve the collaboration with peers in other engineering departments and operations.

We are looking for a colleague with a Bachelor or Master degree in electronic design. You have hands-on past experience in electronic product development yourself.
