Introduction

We are seeking individuals who have recently graduated in a scientific field (biotechnology, medicine, chemistry, or biology) and are eager to learn how to translate cutting-edge scientific breakthroughs into impactful ventures as part of a leading Italian Venture Capital firm.

Teamwork, problem-solving, and analytical skills are essential qualities we seek in our new colleagues. As a member of the investment team, you will be involved in sourcing deals, executing them, and providing support in portfolio management.

Activities

Your activities will include:

  • Supporting the life science team in investment research, analysis, and due diligence on new and existing biotech investments.
  • Assisting the investment team in writing investment memorandums and presenting findings to the investment team and committee.
  • Contributing to deep scientific due diligence, including interpreting scientific publications and medical conference presentations.
  • Collaborating closely with investment partners, principals, scientific advisors, and key opinion leaders to develop insights.
  • Supporting the team with administrative work, investment reporting, financial modeling, and deal execution.

Required qualifications, skills and knowledge

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in biotechnology, chemistry, biology, or medicine (a PhD, also ongoing, in one of the above areas will be considered as a plus).
  • Knowledge of the drug development process.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for learning.
  • Self-starter comfortable working with ambiguity.
  • Business knowledge of Italian and English (minimum B2)
