The role is within an award-winning, leading and very experienced in-house team, with significant learning and development opportunities. The position is designed to provide essential legal services and support as a member of the company’s internal legal team, providing broad technical support and implementation services to the Branch Network throughout New Zealand, as well as directly to clients, business referrers and other professionals and organisations.

About the role:

The position is required to provide conveyancing services, legal drafting services, including but not limited to, wills and enduring powers of attorney, trust establishment, gifting and one off trust documentation in accordance with governing legislation and Perpetual Guardian’s Best Practice. In addition the role is also required to provide transactional and administrative support for the PCS Legal and PCS Branch Network teams.

This is an opportunity for a motivated practitioner to build their brand and capability.  Our Head Office is in Auckland, however we will consider candidates located anywhere in New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of legal documents using the company's procedures
  • Undertaking conveyancing transactions, including Land online searching and e-dealing
  • Ensuring full compliance with statutes, regulations and Company Policy
  • Responsible for running Perpetual Guardian’s conveyancing practice
  • Developing a good working relationship with internal clients, displaying professionalism and credibility

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Registered legal executive and relevant experience
  • 5 + years relevant experience in a legal or quasi-legal environment
  • Sound knowledge of trust structures and related documents
  • Legal conveyancing experience, including sound knowledge and experience of Land online searching and e-dealing
