Legal Counsel - ECM & M&A

Scope and Activities

Main activities:

• Contribute to the study and origination phases of extraordinary finance transactions such as capital increases, IPOs, issuances and placements on the primary market and secondary public M&A transactions (stake building and public takeover offers)

• Drafting and negotiation of the related legal documentation supporting the aforementioned transactions and participation in their execution phases

• Engagement and management of relationships with external legal advisors appointed to assist the Bank in specific transactions

• Ongoing legal assistance and advisory to the Bank functions involved in the relevant transactions

• Keeping up to date on developments in primary and secondary applicable legislation

Required Experience

2-4 years in one or more of the investment banking sectors or in the Equity Capital Markets and M&A departments of leading international law firms

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competencies

The ideal candidate is a person:

  • with a degree in law with an economic/financial orientation;
  • experience in the ECM/M&A sectors;
  • with an excellent knowledge of the English language, written and spoken;
  • with in-depth knowledge of financial markets law issues;

Attainment of qualification to practice as an attorney is a plus.
