Who are we?

We want to be the best place that any of our 6,600 colleagues have ever worked.

We’re the UK’s largest long-term savings and retirement business. We offer a range of products across our market-leading brands, Standard Life, SunLife, Phoenix Life and ReAssure. Around 1 in 5 people in the UK has a pension with us. We’re a FTSE 100 organisation that is tackling key issues such as transitioning our portfolio to net zero by 2050, and we’re not done yet.

The role

The Migration portfolio plays a key role in achieving business goals, and within our team of change professionals, we support change in an exciting and dynamic environment. You will play a key role in the achievement of Phoenix ambitions to innovate to provide customers with better financial futures.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in Business Analysis and previous experience in leading and developing others. You will lead a team of Business Analysts working on a complex multi-phased migration of customer policies and processes to our strategic outsource partner, as well as collaborating with the wider Migration Portfolio BA management team to continuously improve ways of working, and evolve a strategic migrations delivery framework.

You will develop your career and build your profile at Phoenix by maintaining high quality standards, challenging where appropriate and delivering outcomes for our business and customers. You will have responsibility for the outputs of your team and support them in all aspects of their role as a Business Analyst.

What are we looking for?

You’ll love this role if you’re a great communicator and are able to engage with colleagues to understand their requirements and communicate outcomes.

Day-to-day this is a hands-on position, that is responsible for overseeing, supporting and developing your team, including,

  • An opportunity to shape, grow and develop your team and our future capability through support, feedback and mentoring with a strong emphasis on career development and recognition through our competency development framework
  • Planning and shaping of an innovative and creative requirements management approach, impact assessing and matching the right skills and resources to deliver change efficiently
  • Managing stakeholder relationships to ensure collaboration across projects, portfolios and disciplines to provide a consistently high-quality Business Analysis service
  • Analysis and critical thinking to produce options and recommendations for a workable solution, and drive action from key decision makers.
  • Assuring quality and timely delivery of all BA outputs in line with the BA Framework, further ensuring BA governance controls are met and holistic synergy across the programme and other projects.

You’ll thrive in this role if you are able to oversee, support and develop other colleagues, leading inclusively and by example.

In the Migration Portfolio, we care about your values and behaviours as much as your technical knowledge – we would love to help you grow your career at Phoenix and we are happy to invest in your long-term development to help you reach your goals.

Essential Criteria

  • Candidates must have proven experience and expertise in business analysis demonstrating a core understanding of BA techniques and Requirements Engineering used in the delivery complex change
  • Candidates must have experience in leading others (formally or informally) through coaching, mentoring and line management.

We want to hire the whole version of you.

We are committed to ensuring that everyone feels accepted and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If your experience looks different from what we’ve advertised and you believe that you can bring value to the role, we’d love to hear from you.

If you require any adjustments to the recruitment process, please let us know so we can help you to be at your best.
