Who are we?

We want to be the best place that any of our 6,600 colleagues have ever worked.

We’re Phoenix Group, we’re a long-term savings and retirement business. We offer a range of products across our market-leading brands, Standard Life, SunLife, Phoenix Life and ReAssure. Around 1 in 5 people in the UK has a pension with us. We’re a FTSE 100 organisation that is tackling key issues such as transitioning our portfolio to net zero by 2050, and we’re not done yet.

The role

You will define and lead the business intelligence strategy for your stakeholder area, acting as the product owner for BI solutions.  You’ll engage with senior stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable, data-driven requirements. Along with guiding the design and delivery of scalable dashboards and tools, ensuring quality, governance, and business impact.

As a technical leader, you’ll mentor BI team members and foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning along with transforming complex data into compelling insights that influence strategic decisions, while championing innovation through new tools and methodologies.

You’ll collaborate across departments to ensure BI solutions are integrated and relevant, and you’ll manage the successful delivery of BI projects along with helping shape a collaborative, inclusive team environment that supports professional development and the growth of the BI function.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong technical skills in Power BI (or similar BI tools like Tableau), SQL for data extraction and transformation and ideally Python or R for advanced analytics
  • Proven experience engaging with senior stakeholders and translating business needs into actionable BI solutions
  • Proven ability to simplify complex data and communicate insights to non-technical audiences
  • Experience working with large, diverse datasets and multiple data sources.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead through influence and expertise

We want to hire the whole version of you.

We are committed to ensuring that everyone feels accepted and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If your experience looks different from what we’ve advertised and you believe that you can bring value to the role, we’d love to hear from you.

If you require any adjustments to the recruitment process, please let us know so we can help you to be at your best.

We’re reviewing applications as they come in, so apply early to avoid missing out.
