Role
You will be part of a strong, global Engineering team, supporting our flagship products – Award Force and Good Grants.
We’re looking for a quality driven, team oriented, well-rounded engineer with expertise in server and client side technologies and frameworks. The successful applicant will possess core strengths in Laravel, Vue, database design, software engineering and architecture.
Essentials
- Located anywhere in Asia Pacific or European union regions between the UTC+0 and UTC+12 timezones.
- 8+ years commercial experience in a software engineering role.
- 5+ years working with the Laravel framework.
- 3+ years working with Vue (or something similar)
- Demonstrated experience with Git, collaborating with other developers and working with other peoples’ code
- Finesse – attention-to-detail, robust and extensible code with a penchant for good software design. You will be expected to carefully implement complex requirements with a focus on solid architecture, security, and performance.
- Passion – for the internet, open-source, computing, devices, gaming and Star Wars . You’re keen to push the envelope and develop elegant solutions, continuously improving your skills and projects that you work on, working with a multitude of technologies to deliver the best possible outcome.
- English fluency is a must.
Responsibilities
- Developing and leading projects utilising software engineering and architecture skills in PHP and Laravel.
- Deliver front-end requirements when necessary, utilising TypeScript and Vue JS.
- Implement UIs with clean, semantic HTML5, CSS3, SASS, grid frameworks and responsive web design.
- Write unit, integrated and acceptance tests, embracing TDD as a philosophy.
- Report on and debug issues discovered in production.
- Demonstrate autonomy and a keen interest in the development and advancement of our products, and underlying architectural solutions.
