Job Title: IT Administrator

Position Type: Part-time (20 hours per week)

Work Schedule: Flexible during the client's business hours (Austin, TX)

About Us:

We are a fast-growing franchise restaurant group with 30+ locations, utilizing cutting-edge technologies to drive operations, enhance customer experience, and fuel our marketing efforts. We're seeking an innovative IT Administrator to oversee the technical infrastructure supporting our business, focusing on modern, cloud-based systems. The ideal candidate will not only be proficient in working with a broad range of tools but also possess a deep understanding of the core technologies underlying these systems.

Job Summary:

As an IT Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our diverse tech stack, covering areas such as customer relationship management (CRM), marketing automation, point-of-sale (POS) platforms, password management, and cloud-based collaboration tools. Rather than focusing solely on specific tools, the role demands a strong grasp of the foundational technologies that power these platforms—relational databases, authentication flows, internet protocols, and cloud integrations. You will be the technical backbone ensuring the seamless operation of our systems and their alignment with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

CRM and Relational Databases:

  • Manage and optimize CRM systems, ensuring data integrity and usability. This requires an in-depth understanding of relational databases, including data structuring, querying, and reporting. You’ll ensure that customer data is properly segmented, accessible, and integrated with other platforms, enabling effective customer engagement and insights.

Marketing Technology & Web Analytics:

  • Administer and maintain tools related to digital marketing, including ad platforms, analytics, and tracking tools. A solid grasp of how the internet works, including HTTP/S, cookies, browser storage, and tracking pixels, is essential. You will ensure accurate data capture and reporting across our marketing initiatives, optimizing for performance and compliance with privacy regulations.

Password Management & Authentication:

  • Oversee the security and functionality of password management tools, ensuring that secure and efficient access controls are in place. Familiarity with OAuth flows, single sign-on (SSO), and multi-factor authentication (MFA) is crucial to managing and securing user identities across our platforms. You’ll implement and enforce best practices around access controls and credential security.

Point-of-Sale Systems & Payment Integration:

  • Administer POS systems, ensuring that transaction flows are smooth, secure, and integrated with back-end systems. A deep understanding of how payment processing works, including secure data transmission and PCI compliance, is necessary to ensure the integrity of payment systems across all franchise locations.

Cloud-based Collaboration Tools:

  • Manage our cloud collaboration platforms and ensure smooth workflow across locations. Expertise in cloud infrastructure (Google Workspace or similar) is required, with knowledge of how to configure, secure, and scale these platforms as our business grows.

API Integrations & Automation:

  • Work with various systems and platforms to enable data sharing and process automation via API integrations. Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, data formats (JSON, XML), and webhooks is essential to ensure that platforms such as CRM, POS, and marketing systems communicate seamlessly.

Data Security & Compliance:

  • Implement and enforce policies to protect sensitive information, ensuring data security and compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). You will stay updated on cybersecurity trends and best practices, implementing proactive measures to prevent unauthorized access or data breaches.

System Monitoring & Performance Optimization:

  • Monitor system performance across tools and platforms, identifying potential issues before they impact operations. Experience with performance monitoring tools and strategies, as well as the ability to troubleshoot effectively, will be critical in maintaining uptime and efficiency across our tech stack.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an IT Administrator, Systems Engineer, or similar role, managing modern technology stacks in a multi-location environment.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and CRM systems, with the ability to structure, query, and report on customer data.
  • Experience with digital marketing and web analytics tools, and a solid understanding of internet protocols, cookie tracking, and data privacy regulations.
  • Expertise in password management, authentication, and access control technologies, including OAuth, SSO, and MFA.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, payment processing, and the compliance and security aspects of managing transactional data.
  • Proficiency in cloud-based collaboration tools, with experience configuring and securing systems like Google Workspace or similar platforms.
  • Experience integrating and automating tools via APIs, webhooks, and custom workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of IT security principles, data protection, and compliance standards, with the ability to enforce robust policies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical teams.
