Scope and Purpose

Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, the resource will have the responsibility to coordinate a team of senior portfolio managers and more junior resources, maintain and improve the current investment process, as well as contribute to the direct management of flagship UCITs funds.

The investment team is characterized by a “quantamental” approach with a strong quality-growth bias and manage more than 13 EUR bln of assets, spread across pure equity and multi-asset funds.

Applicants are expected to have an extensive knowledge of developed equity markets and asset allocation, as well as a strong academic background in economics and statistics. A basic understanding of computer science is a fundamental prerequisite both for maintaining and developing the proprietary software library in Python, and also to allow a very proactive investment approach in the US technology sector, which is dominant in several flagship products and is a key component of developed market indices.

Required Experience

Minimum 10 years of experience in asset management, with at least 7 in managing developed equity strategies with proven track-record

Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

  • extensive knowledge of the USA investible universe, and in particular of the technological sector;
  • full knowledge of the UCITs regulation, with proven attention to operations and minimization of operational risk;
  • a very good knowledge, both practical and academic, of factor investing;
  • strong academic background, preferably with a background in economics and a PhD or advanced Master degree;
  • at least an intermediate knowledge of a programming language other than VBA, Matlab or R, preferably Python;
  • at least a basic knowledge of SQL;
  • knowledge of Italian is considered an additional plus.
