Salary:  £91,400 - £105,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Contract type: 1 x Fixed Term Contract 12 months, April 25 - March 26

Location: Office Base is London. This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office working with home working

Job Introduction

The HR Programme Manager will work within an international transformation programme, changing the way BBC News operates outside the UK.  The Programme Manager will lead and manage the HR transformation activity, including standing up a new International People Services team, Regional Talent Acquisition model and managing the transition to the new HRBP design and ways of working. The role will also coordinate, deliver and drive a variety of transformation initiatives, including implementation of the organisational design, working with the Project on the change and communications approach, prioritising our people experience, enabling effective knowledge transfer and empowering regional leaders to drive the change.

Main Responsibilities

•    To lead and manage international HR transformation initiatives to ensure successful implementation and integration

•    To own the HR transition plan, tracking progress and proactively anticipating any risks or issues

•    To work closely with the overarching International Operating Model programme, ensuring transformation activities are aligned to and complement the broader roadmap

•    To provide thought leadership into the transition approach, knowledge transfer and service readiness to enable successful implementation of the operating model

•    To line manage a team of temporary HR project roles and provide leadership via a matrix structure

•    Manage a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure alignment, address issues, and foster collaboration throughout the transformation

•    Develop and execute change management strategies to support smooth transitions and minimise disruption

•    Coordinate and help deliver communications plans to effectively engage employees and stakeholders throughout the transformation process

•    Prioritise and enhance the people experience by addressing concerns and ensuring a positive impact on staff

•    Empower and support leaders in driving and adopting change, providing guidance and resources as needed

•    Do you excel in managing relationships with diverse and senior stakeholders, and are you adept at balancing multiple priorities under tight deadlines?

•    Have you demonstrated experience in driving operational excellence within an international HR business partner model, specifically in a media or news environment?

•    Do you possess a strong track record in leading high-profile employee relations and cultural change initiatives, with a focus on building a diverse and inclusive workplace?

•    Are you skilled in using data and analytics to develop and implement innovative HR solutions and tools?

•    Do you have experience leading and managing international HR teams in complex, global organisations, ensuring continuous process improvement, compliance, and governance?
