We are currently looking for an Intern Accountant based in Barcelona in charge of managing daily payments to suppliers, posting journal entries, updating financial statements, and booking supplier and customer invoices. The main objective will be to give support in any task related to the accounting department based in Spain, and the other entities located in Portugal and Poland.

You will join the Accounting Department and will report to Albert S. based in Barcelona, Chief Accountant.

What will I be doing? 🤔

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
• Manage payment to suppliers and drivers.
• Give assistance to our customers on the invoicing issues.
• Manage requests from Tax authorities.
• Update accounts payable, and perform reconciliationsAssist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
• Assist with reviewing expenses, payroll records, etc. as assigned.
• Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed.
• Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
• Assist with other accounting projects

What do we need from you? 😎

• You are a Bachelor Student or Graduate in the field of Business Administration or Economics; or in a comparable degree course.
• First practical experience in accounting is a plus, as well as a previous experience with accounting ERP.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with great communication and organization skills, as well as a teamwork spirit.
• You are detail-oriented and have great analytical skills.
• High knowledge of Excel and Google Drive package
• Excellent written and oral language skills in English and Spanish.
• You are legally eligible to work in Spain.
