Position Overview

We’re on the lookout for a stellar Human Resources Manager to join our team and help us bring our company vision to life! As the Human Resources Manager, you’ll be the heartbeat of our values, ensuring that every aspect of our HR operations reflects our commitment to excellence. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you’ll be a crucial voice in our HR strategy, collaborating closely with our incredible team and even partnering up with an external legal team.

This is a remote, full-time position with travel once a year.

That said, the online marketing world doesn’t take breaks — that’s why we need our team members to be flexible, too. The tasks required in this role typically fit into a Monday – Thursday 8 am – 5 pm schedule but during product launches and busy seasons, we tend to tap into hours outside that range with plenty of planning.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement HR programs and policies as needed by the organization while identifying ways to streamline efficiency in existing processes
  • Manage full cycle recruitment to retain top talent – including applicant screening, interviews, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding while maintaining a standard of excellence throughout every phase
  • Provide guidance and make recommendations for compensation, short term incentive plans, and benefits
  • Create and lead employee training, organizational development programs, and DEI initiative
  • Review and revise HR policies in compliance with changing or new legislation
  • Payroll and benefits administration – 401k, health insurance, paid leave, paid benefits, etc.
  • Utilize legal team in order to monitor issues and concerns in employment law, communicate potential changes to senior management
  • Develop and maintain meaningful connections with employees, key contractors, and legal team
  • Provide pragmatic and consistent guidance and advice to managers on grievance, attendance, disciplinary, and performance issues
  • Develop and maintain company policies and employee handbook in accordance to brand standards
  • Create and lead team culture and morale boosting initiatives, challenges, team milestone celebrations, etc.
  • Support the Operations team with the planning and execution of teamwide retreats / vacations
  • Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential
  • Ensure that every aspect of human resources incorporates the vision, values, and culture of the organization

Skills, Abilities and Experience

The ideal candidate possesses the following strengths and skills:

  • Required Skills
    • Bachelor’s degree in business or Human Resources and 3-5 years of human resources experience
    • Ability to develop HR programs and policies based on business requirements
    • Strong project management, time management, and leadership skills
    • Solid problem-solving and business acumen skills
    • Ability to manage multi task work in a strong-paced environment
    • Professional integrity with ability to maintain confidential information
    • Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships within a small business
    • Ability to work on Apple operating systems
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Experience working in a fully remote entrepreneurial work environment
    • Experience with Asana, Slack, Gusto, Adobe, and/or GoogleDrive

  • Position Salary: $80,000 – $85,000, based on experience
  • Short-term incentive plan: Amy Porterfield, LLC offers a short-term incentive plan using a tiered bonus structure. The bonus range for this position is between 10 – 30% of the salary. The requirements for bonus eligibility are determined by (1) performance and (2) achieving the company's annual profit target. If both conditions are satisfied, the company will remit short-term incentive bonuses to full-time salaried employees.
