Human Resources (HR) provides support on all people-related matters for Network Rail. We’re responsible for creating an environment that attracts and engages high-performing individuals to deliver engineering and operational excellence for Britain’s railway. Our approach is a pragmatic one, challenging where appropriate and professional in all areas of delivery.

Brief Description

We have an exciting Human Resources Business Partner Support position available within our Corporate HR team, offering excellent business exposure and opportunities to learn. This is a job share opportunity for 3 days per week / equivalent hours ( 21 hours per week)

  • Vacancy Type: Permanent, Part-time, Job Share, Flexible working patterns will be considered.
  • Location: The Quadrant: MK (Hybrid working). You must live within 75 minutes or be willing to self- relocate.
  • Closing date: 20th of May 2025. Late applications may not be accepted.
  • Band & Salary: Band 5, £27,000 - £29,000, depending upon experience. Any salary offer will be within the advertised salary range.
About the role (External)

What are the essential skills and experience we’re looking for?

  • We are looking for someone who demonstrates strong customer service skills and has experience working within a large, complex, and fast-moving organisation.
  • You should have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and excellent time management, organisation, and prioritisation skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Being resilient, adaptable, and flexible is crucial, as well as being proficient in IT, with strong knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in event coordination and facilitation, strong research and analytical skills, and strong relationship-building skills are also essential. Additionally, you should have experience supporting the delivery of HR initiatives and projects.

Desirable Skills:

While not essential, it would be beneficial if you are CIPD Qualified or have relevant HR support experience and are of graduate calibre.
