Location:  Flexible UK location. This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office with home working. There will also be regular travel to other BBC bases.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Job Introduction

Exciting role in the Corporate Functions area of the BBC, for an HRBP to lay the foundations for our change, transformation and project people plans. This is a role that spans across classic project management and change skills, as well as a technical HR specialist who can deliver practical and implementable people related activities. You’ll act as the interface between HR Business Partners, Business Leaders and Centres of Excellence to set the function up for fast paced delivery and success.

Main Responsibilities

Working closely with our divisional HRBP teams, this role will focus on activities and interventions including:

Project and Change Management

•    Develop and Execute Change Strategies – Formulate and Implement change management plans, ensuring they align with broader programme and roadmap activities.

•    Develop a calendar of core and change people activities to ensure well planned delivery across the year with sufficient notice for executing the change.

•    Ensure clear ownership of projects and change initiatives, ensuring that they are delivered on time.

•    Stakeholder Engagement – Work with HR Business Partners, Centres of Excellence and Business Leaders to secure commitment and support for the change.

•    Communication - Design and implement impactful communication, and engagement plans to ensure employees and managers remain informed, engaged, and aligned throughout the change journey.

•    Training & Development – Plan and deliver programmes to equip leaders/ employees with skills and knowledge for adapting to changes.

•    Change Leadership - Provide guidance to teams and stakeholders throughout the change journey.

•    Data and Benefits Management- Track and measure the success of change initiatives and ensure benefits are realised, using real data to evidence the impact.

•    Develop tailored interventions to support HRBP, management and employees in adopting new behaviours and mindsets.

HR Projects

•    Act as the HR lead on specific initiatives: these may range from data and team health, performance, career development, talent and succession and diversity, inclusion and belonging

•    Ensure changes are sustained and benefits are realised after implementation.

•    Support employees and teams as they adjust to new processes and systems.

•    Monitor the long-term impact of change initiatives, addressing lingering challenges.

•    Embed change into organisational culture and daily operations.

Are you the right candidate?

Essential

  • Experience in change management, project, and or/programme management.
  • Exposure to people related activities with solid understanding of the HR profession, likely as an HR Business Partner (open to different backgrounds)
  • Effective with collating, reporting and interpreting data to accurately report on value and effectiveness of programmes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to build stakeholder relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in assessing the impact of change on people and organisations.

Desirable

  • Experience in redundancy and restructuring preferred
  • People & Behavioural Change Management
  • Deep understanding of organisational structures and dynamics.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programs.
  • Familiarity with change management methodologies/tools.
