Contract type: 1 x Full time twelve month Fixed term contract

Location:  Flexible UK location. This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office with home working. There will also be regular travel to other BBC bases.

Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Job Introduction

We are looking for an HRBP to work within our Corporate Functions HRBP team to support, upskill and drive and support a culture of individual and collective high performance. You’ll play a key role in shaping a culture of continuous feedback, growth, and innovation.

Main Responsibilities

Working closely with our divisional HRBP teams, this role will focus on activities and interventions including:

  • Build capability in management ability to have honest conversations on matters of performance and behaviour,continuous feedback loops, goal-setting, performance expectations
  • Deliver upskilling programmes & interventions for managers & teams with the purpose of creating a high performance culture
  • In collaboration with divisional HRBPs, provide coaching and development for leaders to elevate their leadership capabilities and ensure alignment with company BBC values.
  • Work with our Centres of Excellence in Employee Relations, Manager Helpdesk and Learning and Development to develop solutions which support leadership development
  • Identify key skill gaps and work with wider HR teams to create programs that promote career growth and continuous learning.
  • Work with divisional HRBPs and the business to support intervention and approaches to how we progress and develop our people
  • Support the implementation of a robust talent and succession cycle
  • Coach managers to be confident in building and operating in a high performance culture

Are you the right candidate?

  • Experience of coaching managers through complex performance processes
  • Experience of managing talent and succession cycles and interventions
  • Experience of career growth pathways
  • Relevant HRBP experience gained in large complex organisation(s) with multiple stakeholders (including matrix relationships). Experience from a Product or Technology organisation is preferred but not essential
  • Exposure & experience of talent management, leadership development, and culture-building initiatives.
  • Experience in supporting and coaching managers through complex performance cases
  • Proven ability to challenge, influence, and support senior leaders
  • Strong change management capabilities and stakeholder management skills
  • Data-savvy, comfortable with numbers, and able to use insights to guide decision making
  • A clear communicator who builds relationships effortlessly and knows how to get people working together.
  • Flexible and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Outcome focused with a growth mindset and a bias for change
  • Experience with workforce planning preferred but not  essential
