Salary and benefits: £100,000 - £140,000 plus an indicative bonus range of 30%-60%, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, career breaks, income protection, 3x volunteering days and much more.

We have an incredible opportunity to join us here at Phoenix Group as a Head of Actuarial Reporting – EO  to join our actuarial reporting team.

The role

We are recruiting for a Senior Leader role within the Actuarial Reporting team.  This role will support Europe & Other areas of the business.  The role will be to lead a group of experienced actuaries to deliver the financial reporting on a SII, UKGAAP and IFRS basis. A major element will be the delivery of the required regulatory reporting for the specific lines of business and also support the respective business unit in the delivery of internal and external reporting information.

In addition, there is an important role in developing the reporting capability of the team and function by supporting the Reporting and Analytics finance transformation project to deliver a more efficient and automated reporting process for the future.  In addition, as we move from a structure that has recently relied on consultant and contractor resource, the development of the team is critical to the success of the team and this role will be key in doing that.

What are we looking for?

  • Qualified Actuary with significant post qualified experience
  • Experience in an actuarial reporting environment with knowledge of unit linked and protection products and how they operate.
  • Experience of different actuarial reporting metrics and the concepts and techniques in performing a valuation
  • Experience of delivering transformation and change within an actuarial reporting environment
  • Experience of leading a team of qualified actuaries, developing the team and individual capability
