General Ledger Services Accountant


We work a 4-day week (32hrs @ 100% salary)

Purpose of Position

As a general ledger analyst, you will be one of the responsible to ensure the correct accounting and accrual-based recording of all business transactions in the general ledger of all Awin entities. You are a team player, continuously providing support to your line manager and peers. You will be helping your line manager to optimize and harmonize the accounting-relevant processes in the Awin Group. All this happens in close collaboration with our Accounting, Reporting and Consolidation Team, FP & A, Tax, Treasury, and other Finance services teams.

Key Tasks

  • Ensure timely and accurate journal entries according to IFRS and Local GAAP’s
  • Ensure timely input for month end close/year end close
  • Ensure timely input for external audits and tax audits
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliation, reporting pending issues and resolving them
  • Support projects implementation
  • Close collaboration with the Finance Services teams, broader Finance team and Client facing teams

Skills & Expertise

  • 3 years relevant working experience
  • Proven experience in general ledger and reporting or similar role in an international business environment
  • Knowledge in IFRS
  • Customer-oriented
  • Detail-oriented with good analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Good knowledge using the standard office, in particular Excel. Microsoft Dynamics D365 is a plus
  • Very good communication (written and verbal in English), analytical and interpersonal skills (Company language: English)
