Functional Analyst

Purpose and Activities

We are looking for people with IT and financial skills, able to deeply understand business needs and translate them into functional specifications to be handed over to internal or external development teams.

Problem solving ability, analytical and interpersonal skills, strong team spirit and organizational attitudes are the characteristics we are looking for.

You will work as a Functional Analyst within a team made up of Project Managers and more technical resources, in close contact with Business users operating within the CENTRAL TREASURY MANAGEMENT and the IMI CORPORATE and INVESTMENT BANKING Division.

Specifically, you will be required to:

• Independently consult with expert users from operational finance structures to analyze their expressed requirements and translate them into functional specifications for the relevant application;

• Produce functional specification documentation autonomously;

• Interact with the development team to describe the functional processes subject to change and evaluate technical implementation solutions to ensure consistency between what is developed and the company's technology standards;

• Contribute to estimating the effort required for requested changes;

• Participate in writing test cases, executing them personally or instructing testers in their execution.

Required Experience

3 - 5 years of experience in Information Technology within the Banking sector.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competences

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or Economics with a focus on finance.

• Knowledge of the Position Keeping system Kondor+

• Experience in configuration, integration and implementation in Kondor+ in the Curve Assignment and Report Manager modules (Riskcatcher, Toolkit and Financial Report)

• Knowledge of the main Treasury and Capital Markets financial products and their representation in Position Keeping systems

• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications via Functional Analysis documents

• Knowledge of English at least at intermediate level

• Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile project methodologies

The following are considered preferable:

• Basic knowledge of SQL and technological aspects

• Knowledge of the Atlassian suite for software development and in particular the use of Confluence

• Knowledge of methods useful for online and batch integration between Kondor+ and other systems
