As the lead of one of our Firmware teams, you will:
- Take ownership of our GPS tracker firmware and play a key role in delivering an exceptional experience to over a million pet parents worldwide – at a global leader in pet tech
- Participate in software architecture discussions and be the go-to person for your team and projects
- Act on user-facing issues with urgency, working closely with Product and Support to deliver fast, effective solutions
- Provide direction and coordination for your team to deliver high-quality, reliable results
- Lead by example with clear communication and foster a culture of constructive feedback
- Continuously improve workflows through optimized CI/CD, robust testing, and smart tools, including AI
- Make firmware performance transparent and easy to monitor across teams
- Bring in your fresh ideas to make Tractive better - you’ll never hear the phrase “...because that’s how we’ve always done things”
- Continuously grow personally and professionally, take ownership of areas that show your potential, and attend workshops which help you get to the next level
Your profile
Key requirements:
- Proven track record of leading an interdisciplinary software development team for 3+ years
- Extensive experience in Agile development (Scrum/JIRA/Confluence), software design, and a solid understanding of firmware architecture
- Strong project management skills
- Experience with hardware-related software development, ideally in low-level embedded systems (e.g. drivers, bare metal)
- Excellent English skills
