Financial Analyst

Responsibilities

• Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc) taking into account the company’s goals and financial standing
• Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
• Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts
• Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data
• Consult with management to guide and influence long-term and strategic decision-making within the broadest scope
• Apply business and financial knowledge to support the activity of XWiki
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the accountant cabinets
• Takeover the newly signed contracts, update the CRM and handle the invoicing process
• Update Salesforce with sales data to match our current CRM (projects, opportunities, leads, contacts, reports)
• Create reports and the documentation needed through the sales process
• Handle acquisitions, contracts, payments, record management, and other office administrative work
• Create, modify, and enhance the XWiki documentation, both in English and in French
• Support the team with French reviews and translations

Required skills

• Accounting skills (interpreting various financial documents, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows) to accurately compile and report financial data and create realistic budgets and forecasts.
• Proficiency in financial modeling to create digital representations of an organization's financial performance
• Mathematical skills for using quantitative techniques to interpret financial data, conduct risk evaluations, and assess performance ratios.
• Data analysis skills be able to dig through complex datasets to uncover hidden patterns, trends, and correlations.
• Research skills to gather, analyze, and interpret market and financial data
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong spoken and writing abilities both in French and in English
• Ability to easily interact with technical and non-technical people
• Very good interpersonal and communication skills, negotiation, and persuasion
• Good autonomy, proactivity, and self-motivation
• Perseverance, attention to detail, and ability to deliver on time
• Working knowledge of CRM systems
• Familiarity with web technologies
• Previous interaction with innovative products, collaborative software, or Open Source is a plus.
