Finance Lead

(12 months Fixed Term Maternity Cover from 01 March 2025)

Salary £38,430 – £42,310

At Tyler Grange, we have an exciting opportunity to provide maternity cover for the Finance Lead who reports to the Finance Director. The role will support the Financial Director in delivering the overall business strategy and performing key finance processes including bookkeeping, annual and management accounts. Ultimate accountability for the Finance Function will sit with the Financial Director, however, the responsibility for its delivery is with the Finance Lead.

The Lead role will be the main point of contact for Finance processes and will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the key financial processes, supporting the wider consultant team to record things efficiently. The role also leads a small team, ensuring that all the relevant processes are completed accurately and in a timely manner. The role will also support the Operations Director in providing relevant financial information to support the running of the business.

Responsibilities will include:

· Performing the month and year-end processes including production of the management account numbers.

· Monitoring and paying suppliers on a weekly basis as well as managing the day-to-day banking arrangements.

· Responsible for Aged Debt processes supported by the Operations Lead role. The role will also support the invoicing function by assisting in the monthly invoicing and that is the responsibility of the Operations Lead role.

· Runs the payroll cycle, with support from the People team.

· Setting the framework and guidance around procurement for example the preferred suppliers and allowable spending limits for items including managing the company credit card and expense approvals.

· Manages the team member(s) who

  • Review the accounts inbox and record the invoices for Salesforce.
  • Record sales receipts
  • Load data from other systems into our salesforce system.

Requirements

· A confident communicator with a proven ability to build strong relationships across different stakeholder groups

· A problem-solver who is always looking for ways to improve internal processes

· A proficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel

· Arganised and thorough worker with a keen attention to detail

· 3-5 years of general Finance experience (A relevant finance qualification would be desirable)

Whilst previous experience with Salesforce and/or environmental consulting would be a bonus, this is not required to apply for the role. We are happy to provide training for all new platforms and processes required for this position.

These will be updated in January annually, and those joining Tyler Grange the year prior can expect those changes to be reflected from that period.
