The details:

• Full Time - this is a Parental Leave relief role and it is anticipated appointment will be until September 2025.
• $86,815pa + 12% super + leave loading Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 4 of EBA5
• 9 day fortnight
• 72.5 hour fortnight
• Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
• Location: Strathpine

This opportunity sits within our busy Office of the Mayor executive support team!

As the Executive Support Officer you will be an integral member of our small, well respected team, focused on ensuring a seamless service is provided for Council and the Moreton Bay community.

Through acting as the primary point of contact for incoming written and verbal enquiries to the Mayor to deliver high quality outcomes for the community, you will ensure residents and ratepayers receive the highest level of customer service.

You will provide exceptional support triaging correspondence and overall contribute to a positive team environment in help drive a high performance, continuous improvement and customer focused culture.

About you

We are seeking an administrative professional, experienced in providing quality support at an executive level.

Whilst this role is an administrative position, it is acknowledged that Administrative and Executive Support in the Office of the Mayor is a specialist area, requiring exceptional professional judgement, initiative and confidentiality as you are privy to matters that can be of a sensitive or political nature.

As a natural communicator you will be driven by providing quality customer service! Your exceptional analytic skills and written communication will be paired with a strong attention to detail to ensure comprehensive and thorough feedback is provided for all resident and stakeholder enquiries.

Your well rounded interpersonal skills and ability to apply critical thinking, reasoning and evaluation to make effective decisions will help you hit the ground running with this opportunity. We need someone who is excited by the prospect of dealing with such a wide array of stakeholders and understands the challenges that this can bring.
