Job Description
The Director of Digital Trust and Account Security leads the team responsible for creating and operationalizing Ubisoft's digital trust and account security strategy for player accounts. This role is essential to ensure a secure, reliable and seamless experience for players while mitigating regulatory and reputational risks for the company.
The role holder and their team are responsible for the overall health of the player account ecosystem. They define, implement and manage ongoing initiatives that ensure regulatory compliance and privacy while optimizing player access to their accounts and the ability to combat fraud (theft, hacking, economic fraud, etc.). They continuously monitor the account ecosystem to anticipate crises and promote accessibility, service quality and enforcement of account-related policies, while leading player account security awareness programs. By leading collaboration across cross-functional teams and industry stakeholders, the director is accountable for the consistency, fairness and impact of Ubisoft's systems, rules and operations. The goal is to enable faster decision-making and prioritization to implement a proactive approach that prevents crises and protects both players and Ubisoft from their impact.
What you will do
Vision
- Ensure coherence across the entire account trust and security ecosystem, from policies to daily operations and prioritization aligned with stakeholder leadership.
- Build and guide the development of monitoring frameworks to proactively observe the player account experience in terms of trust and security.
- Lead roadmaps for the tools and products required, based on policies and insights from real operations, from monitoring to player-facing flows.
- Build and evolve the best cross-functional organization for the Account Trust and Security Center team.
Strategy
- Develop and embody a strong vision for player account trust and security grounded in operational reality and a player-first aspiration, leveraging player feedback, market trends and user research.
- Translate this vision into an actionable 360° strategy, making clear choices supported by the Account Trust and Security Center stakeholders.
- Use insights and analytics to define priorities and requirements for product and tool development, as well as operational improvement needs (through objectives and key performance indicators).
- Establish and manage the team involved in the Account Trust and Security Center, with direct and indirect reports. This includes capacity and expertise management and adjusting organizational structure as needed.
- Be responsible for the overall health of the player account system with respect to Ubisoft creative studios and the Ubisoft group, as well as players.
Operations
- Proactive and continuous monitoring of the account ecosystem health. Connect and interpret weak signals at 360° to anticipate incidents and identify mitigation measures to prevent them.
- Manage incidents, orchestrate crisis management and leverage lessons learned to improve and strengthen the framework.
Measurements and observability
- The role holder will create, structure and orchestrate the contribution of all resources involved across these domains, from policy to technical development to operational execution and communication, including members of multiple cross-functional Ubisoft teams such as security risk management, customer relations center, legal, corporate communications and player security.
- The role holder will adopt a strategic posture for policy and practice alignment and evolution, a tactical approach to deliver technology roadmaps and tools, and an operational approach to ensure process execution efficiency, incident management and continuous improvement cycles.
Governance and stakeholder management
- Lead, mentor and inspire a cross-functional team reporting to them directly (live operations and incident management, data analysts, live QA, etc.).
- Drive and orchestrate collaboration among stakeholders.
- Make clear decisions, both proactively and reactively.
- Be accountable for the team's success and value/positive ROI (including reporting to senior management).
Qualifications
What you bring
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in management or administration
- Technical diploma in administration
Relevant experience:
- Senior executive profile (director level) with strong experience in the digital sector. An additional asset would be a combination of direct experience in complex compliance contexts, live operations, team management and stakeholder management.
- Strong decision-making capabilities
- Combination of analytical/ROI skills, leadership and influence.
- Multidisciplinary approach and 360° problem solving and decision making. Understanding of technical, operational, player experience and compliance challenges and constraints.
