The Campaigns team is a leading Democratic political consulting and direct mail firm with a record of winning tough races. We have an in-house creative studio that specializes in brand strategy, copywriting, design and direct mail production. We serve as creative partners to our clients, helping them solve their biggest challenges from brainstorming to creative production and execution. ABOUT THIS ROLE

BerlinRosen Campaigns team (BRC) is seeking a Direct Mail Production Manager. As a member of our Direct Mail team, the Production Manager will be integral to ensuring we stay on schedule and deliver timely, high-quality creative services and strategic advice and insights to our clients. The ideal candidate is highly organized, has strong attention to detail and political campaign experience.

Schedule requirements: This position involves working late hours on weekdays, with most nights extending into the evening.

Role location: This role is based in our New York, N.Y. office on a hybrid basis. The BerlinRosen Campaigns team is in-office at least 3 days per week.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

As the Direct Mail Production Manager for our Campaigns team, you will…

  • Keep apprised of the status of all print projects and continually monitor work in progress to ensure on-time completion, notifying account and design team members who are late on assigned tasks.
  • Coordinate print schedules to maximize savings through gang printing opportunities.
  • Manage and coordinate all work (data, artwork, copy, print proofs, postage, etc.) between outside vendors and internal account teams.
  • Coordinate proofreading with our proofreading service.
  • Coordinate foreign-language translation with our translation service.
  • Review vendor invoices.
  • Managing opportunities to “gang” multiple mail pieces
  • Oversee and manage our project management system

Essential skills:

  • At least two years of experience in a high-volume direct mail operation (print shop or creative agency)
  • Working knowledge of pre-press and export functions of Adobe InDesign
  • The highest level of attention to detail
  • Comfort and ability to use project management systems
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Some extended hours, including nights and weekends, required

Preferred skills:

  • Direct experience working on a political campaign is preferred but not required.

WORKING AT ORCHESTRA

Salary range(commensurate with experience and skills): $75,000 -$80,000 annually (prorated).
