Associate or Senior Associate Digital Consultant
London, Reading or Bristol
You will be joining the Hoare Lea Strategic Consultancy business unit.
The role will focus in the area that facilitates, develops, and drives a client’s digital transformation journey for their building and places at a single asset, a campus, and/or a portfolio level.
The role will provide a pragmatic methodology for developing strategies, providing evidence-based methods for prioritising investment, design & specification, navigating procurement and providing stewardship through delivery stages and long into operational stages of assets.

The role
Working closely with technical subject matter experts across the digital technology landscape, you will develop practical and value-driving digital use cases and roadmaps that lead to measurable outcomes for our clients. You will also provide stewardship of agreed strategies from concept, development, and implementation, driving real value outcomes from the implementation of the right technologies.
You will team up and work directly with subject matter experts across the Strategic Consultancy business unit areas such as ESG, decarbonisation, building performance and wider technical specialities to support a multi-disciplinary approach to solving complex problems for our clients.
Our team works across many different sectors, including Healthcare, Workplace, Real Estate, Higher Education and High-Tech Manufacturing and with it brings a great opportunity to develop knowledge and skills across the industry while working with some of the country’s most prestigious clients.
What we are looking for
- People who are energetic, organised, and open.
- Have relevant sector experience.
- High understanding of the overall property lifecycle from early-stage viability, design through to commissioning, handover, and ongoing building operations.
- Good technical understanding of core building systems such as building management systems, networks, Internet-of-Things technologies, and related systems.
- Able to produce technical strategies, roadmaps and investment cases relying on a wider group of subject matter experts.
- Ability to apply critical thinking and evaluation methods to help clients prioritise a range of options and choices.
- Ready to attend networking events and conferences. Willing to engage with current and potential clients in order to develop business opportunities.
- Comfortable to engage with stakeholders of all levels in the ecosystem. Can engage with non-technical audiences to establish goals, pain points and desired outcomes to inform strategy development.
- Some understanding of wider MEP building systems design, commissioning, and operation.
