About the job
Thales OneWelcome Service Operations seeks a Sr. DevOps Engineer who will work closely with OneWelcome Engineering, QA, Professional Services, and within OneWelcome Service Operations to automate, support, and scale production AWS infrastructure. Sr. DevOps Engineers will integrate new services, drive operability improvements in application components, and develop new capabilities to drive technical improvements. He/She will be primarily responsible for operating the customer environment. A Sr. DevOps Engineer’s role requires technical skills in the development cycle and operations skills for maintenance and support.
- Understanding customer requirements and project KPIs to define and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
- Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
- Managing stakeholders and external interface
- Have the technical skill to review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project.
- Troubleshooting techniques and fixing the code bugs
- Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for their adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage
- Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible
- Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
About you
- BS in Computer Science
- Experience in software development or technical operations with hands-on experience building, deploying, and scaling high availability Linux-based web applications and services in a large public cloud environment.
- A strong drive to provide the best service to our customers, relentless in the improvements to reduce risk to the service availability
- Strong scripting or development background in Python, Ruby, Node.js, Scala, Golang, or Java with a demonstrated track record of independently and rapidly learning new frameworks, languages, tools, and APIs.
- Extensive experience with Open Source configuration management tools such as Ansible, Helm, and Terraform.
- Previous experience successfully and happily working as part of a remote or distributed team.
- An effective communicator & team leader with strong analytical, problem-solving & continuous learning skills.
